Landscape contractor Miggiels & Van Amstel and Tuinen van Appeltern create modern garden
Landscape contractor Miggiels & Van Amstel, in collaboration with Tuinen van Appeltern and Adezz, has realised a modern forest garden. In this garden, the designers have combined clean lines with natural shapes to create a harmonious design.
At this modern newly built home, the garden begins in a structured way with straight lines and symmetry, featuring, among others, two multi-stemmed Malus 'Red Sentinel' trees. Gradually, the garden transitions into a more natural atmosphere with organic shapes. A long, narrow pond serves as one of the highlights of this forest garden. The rear terrace features a custom-built garden pavilion.
Encouraging biodiversity
The garden features numerous flowering and fruit-bearing plants, which attract a variety of birds, butterflies, bees, and bumblebees. Even hedgehogs have found their way into the garden. The corten steel water table and water bowl from Adezz add further visual interest while simultaneously promoting biodiversity.
A tailor-made garden
The garden has been customised for the homeowners, allowing the trees to eventually grow to their full natural size and shape. The pathway leading to the back of the garden is made of composite planks produced from recycled materials, while the terraces and pathways are paved with Old Dutch tiles from Schellevis and traditional clay pavers.
