Tax incentives for electric weed control
The Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO) has included the Wimmersson eWeeding Roller powered by Zasso in the Environmental](https://www.rvo.nl/subsidies-financiering/mia-vamil/milieulijst]Environmental) List. By doing so, the government officially recognises this form of electric weed control as a sustainable technique for use on paved surfaces. For municipalities, contractors and site managers, this means that investments in this machine qualify for tax incentives.

The eWeeding Roller operates using high voltage and is used for weed control without chemical agents. According to RVO, this technology fits within policy aimed at reducing emissions and environmental impact in public spaces. With its inclusion in the Environmental List, electric weed control is recognised as a sustainable alternative to existing methods.

MIA and Vamil apply
Organisations investing in the eWeeding Roller can make use of the Environmental Investment Allowance (MIA) and the Vamil scheme. This means that 36 percent of the investment amount can be deducted additionally. In addition, 75 percent of the investment may be depreciated on an accelerated basis. These schemes are intended to make sustainable investments more financially attractive.
Previously awarded in London
The national recognition follows international attention for the technology. In October last year, eWeeding received an innovation award at the FutureScape trade fair in London. The fair focuses on new developments in green management and urban design.

Relevant for public space management
Inclusion in the Environmental List makes electric weed control with the eWeeding Roller more attractive for clients and contractors working in public spaces. Especially for municipalities and contractors committed to sustainable management, the scheme provides additional financial scope to invest in new technologies.
