Lighting company Signify is again facing declining revenue. In the first quarter of 2026, revenue fell by more than 5%, mainly due to continued weak market conditions. Profit also decreased, according to Het Financieele Dagblad.

The company had already reported disappointing figures in February. At that time, it marked the third consecutive year of declining revenue and profit. Demand for lighting remains weak, particularly in the professional market. Projects in construction and infrastructure are being postponed, and customers are cautious with investments. This has a direct impact on the company's results. In addition to lower volumes, price pressure is also a factor. As a result, the lighting market remains challenging, despite the structural demand for energy-efficient solutions. Signify is trying to offset the impact through cost measures and restructuring. At the same time, the company continues to focus on smart and connected lighting. For field managers and public space managers, these developments are relevant. Suppliers are increasingly focusing on efficiency and integrated systems, while project delays may affect replacement and renovation plans.
