Ransomes introduces MP670 for large-area mowing |

Ransomes has introduced the MP670, a new rotary mower for maintaining large grass areas. The machine is aimed at users including municipalities, contractors and sports facilities.
The MP670 features three independently controlled cutting decks, allowing users to adjust the cutting width to suit the working conditions. The maximum cutting width is 4.39 metres. According to the manufacturer, the machine can mow up to 5.7 hectares per hour. With a transport width of 1.72 metres, the mower can also be used in locations where manoeuvrability is important. The cutting decks are hydraulically driven by a direct-drive system, which Ransomes says should help reduce maintenance requirements. The machine is powered by a Kubota turbo diesel engine delivering 48.6 kW (65.2 hp), combined with hydrostatic four-wheel drive.
Safe working angles
The operator was also taken into account in the design. The MP670 is equipped with a suspension seat, hydraulic power steering, cruise control and a colour display providing machine information and diagnostics. An air-conditioned and heated cab is available as an option. For work on slopes, the mower features Tilt Sensor Technology, a system designed to help monitor safe working angles.
