Redexim introduces RINK Sandstorm topdresser |

Redexim has announced the launch of the RINK Sandstorm, a self-powered topdresser that can be used without a tractor or hydraulic connection. The machine can be attached to a utility vehicle and is intended for applications including the maintenance of greens and tees.
The Sandstorm has a capacity of 800 litres (28 ft³) and can spread material over widths of up to 12 metres. This capacity allows larger areas to be treated with fewer refills while limiting stress on the turf. The machine is powered by its own 14 hp Vanguard engine, enabling it to operate independently of a PTO shaft or hydraulic system. This allows the topdresser to be used with a range of utility vehicles, including the Toro Workman, John Deere ProGator and Cushman Truckster XT.
According to Jason Jones, Sales Manager North America at Redexim, the new machine reflects the realities of day-to-day operations at many facilities. 'Many turf managers primarily work with utility vehicles and do not always have immediate access to tractors. The Sandstorm provides a practical solution that fits within their maintenance programmes,' says Jones. The Sandstorm is equipped with the Vision X Pro display, allowing operators to adjust settings such as belt speed, disc speed, travel speed and metering gate opening directly from the driver's seat. Users can store up to twenty settings to ensure repeatable results under different conditions.
Spreading range
The machine has been designed to deliver an even material distribution, with a focus on low ground pressure and a consistent material flow. The ribbed conveyor belt and hopper design are intended to prevent material build-up, allowing damp or heavier materials to be processed effectively. The topdresser has a maximum spreading width of 12 metres and a maximum application depth of 15 mm. The machine weighs 765 kilograms when empty and has a maximum operating speed of 25 km/h.
According to Redexim, the Sandstorm is suitable for use on golf courses and sports fields, enabling both larger areas and sensitive zones to be treated efficiently. For more information, the manufacturer refers users to its distribution partners and company website.
