New collective agreement finalized: wages to increase in two stages and several employment conditions to be updated

The new Collective Labour Agreement (CLA) for the Dutch landscaping sector has been finalized. After employers and trade unions reached a negotiated agreement earlier this year, members of both CNV and FNV have now approved it by a large majority. The agreement runs from 1 July 2026 until 30 June 2027 and includes arrangements on wages, travel expenses, internship allowances and leave.

Employees will receive two pay increases during the term of the agreement. Wages will increase by 1.6% on 1 September 2026. A second increase of 1.9% will follow on 1 March 2027.

Greater focus on young employees

The agreement also includes measures that are particularly relevant for young employees. Workers holding an MBO Level 2 vocational qualification will receive the full skilled worker's wage from the age of 20. Internship allowances will increase to €25 per day. In addition, employers and trade unions will jointly provide information on the new rules for temporary agency workers.

Allowances and leave updated

The travel allowance will increase to €0.25 per kilometre, with a maximum of €8.15 per day. Employees will also be able to accumulate leave through the Personal Hours Bank.
The senior employees' scheme and the early retirement scheme will remain in place. Employees will, however, pay a slightly higher premium to fund these arrangements. It has also been agreed to extend the supplementary unemployment benefit (WW) scheme by another five years. The working-from-home allowance will increase to €2.45 per day.
