Husqvarna has introduced a new Vision Technology accessory for its professional Automower range. The addition underlines the manufacturer's focus on the further development of autonomous technology for professional green maintenance.
The accessory uses AI-driven camera technology combined with infrared lighting, enabling robotic mowers to detect and avoid obstacles more effectively, both during daylight and in low-light conditions. This is intended to create a more efficient mowing process and reduce interruptions during work on golf courses and sports fields, among other applications.
The Vision Technology is compatible with selected professional Automower EPOS models. The system enables the mowers to interpret their surroundings more accurately, allowing obstacles such as animals, balls, clothing or standing water to be recognised and avoided. This contributes to a more consistent mowing result and more reliable performance in practice. According to Husqvarna, the development responds to growing demand from grounds managers for solutions that not only deliver high mowing quality, but also offer more intelligence and autonomy in complex working environments. Installation of the accessory is carried out by authorised Husqvarna dealers. The Vision Technology is available immediately through the dealer network.
